1 x negative Battery isolator switch 

To disconnect your battery to prevent drain you will not require the optional in line fuse, simply turn the thumbwheel anti-clockwise. Your battery is totally disconnected from the vehicle electrical system. If using the optional the in-line fuse to retain your radio code or alarm, then your battery remains connected to the vehicle electrical system. If an attempt is made to start the vehicle or any heavy loads such as the headlights are switched on, this will blow the in-line fuse. in both cases you can unscrew the thumbwheel completely and take it with you for security. To connect your battery, turn the thumbwheel fully clockwise and hand tighten. See images on the right showing a fitted switch

Optional In-line fuse: 

Prevents radio memory loss and retains alarm operation if fitted, but will not take the current required to start the vehicle when the Battery Isolator is switched off (the fuse will blow). If you are fitting the switch to prevent battery drain do not use the in-line fuse holder.
