The standard colour codes for wiring up your trailer are:

Yellow - for left indicator going to pin No: 1 on the trailer plug/socket
Blue- for rear fog lights going to pin No: 2 on the trailer plug/socket
White- the Earth cable going to pin No: 3 on the trailer plug/socket
Green- right indicator going to pin No: 4 on the trailer plug/socket
Brown- for right hand/off side side lights/number plate light going to pin No: 5 on the trailer plug/socket
Red- for brake lights going to pin No: 6 on the trailer plug/socket
Black- for left hand/ near side side lights/ number plate light going to pin No: 7 on the trailer plug/socket
